The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is one of the world’s leading collections of modern and contemporary art, founded in 1929 in midtown Manhattan.
The permanent collection includes Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night,” Pablo Picasso’s “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon,” Salvador Dalí’s “The Persistence of Memory,” and Andy Warhol’s “Campbell’s Soup Cans,” alongside major holdings in photography, film, architecture, and design.
MoMA is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with extended hours until 8:30 p.m. on Fridays; a thorough visit through the main collection floors typically takes four to five hours.
