The Cosmopolitan opened on the Las Vegas Strip on December 15, 2010, the last major resort to debut there until Resorts World arrived a decade later. Designed by architect David Rockwell, the property was built around two 52-story towers holding roughly 3,000 rooms and suites.
Its casino floor centers on the Chandelier Bar, a three-story installation made from two million crystals, and the resort is the only one on the Strip where standard rooms open onto private balconies overlooking the Fountains of Bellagio. Dining options range from celebrity-chef restaurants to the intentionally hard-to-find Secret Pizza.
The Cosmopolitan also hosts a 3,200-seat theater and the Marquee Nightclub, making it a hub for concerts and nightlife as much as gaming. It’s owned by Blackstone, Stonepeak Partners, and the Cherng Family Trust, and operated by MGM Resorts.
