Palladium is Prague’s largest shopping center, occupying five floors just steps from Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock. Around 180 shops and 20 restaurants fill a building that preserves its original 19th-century facade.
What sets Palladium apart from an ordinary mall is what’s beneath it: archaeological excavations uncovered during construction revealed medieval walls and ruins, some of which are left exposed under glass flooring and displayed with information boards for visitors to see as they shop.
It’s a convenient stop for international brands, a food court with Czech classics like svickova and trdelnik, and a break from sightseeing in the historic center.
