The Musée d’Orsay occupies a converted Belle Époque railway station on the Left Bank of the Seine in Paris and holds one of the world’s largest collections of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces, including works by Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, and Renoir.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with last admission at 5:00 PM; on Thursdays it stays open until 9:45 PM, with last admission at 9:00 PM. It is closed every Monday, as well as May 1st and December 25th. Standard adult tickets cost €16 online (€14 at the counter), Thursday evening entry after 6:00 PM is discounted to €12, and visitors under 18 plus EU residents aged 18–25 enter free. The first Sunday of each month is free for everyone with a reserved time slot.
Advance online booking is strongly recommended, as on-site ticket queues can exceed 45 minutes during peak season.
