Mandalay Bay Beach is an 11-acre aquatic playground at the Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas Strip, built around a 1.6-million-gallon wave pool with 2,700 tons of real sand and waves that can reach up to 6 feet.
The complex includes a quarter-mile lazy river winding through landscaped palm trees and waterfalls, more than 100 rentable cabanas, day beds, and villas, and three bars and restaurants for poolside dining. A stage next to the wave pool hosts summer concerts and pool parties, while the adjacent three-story Beachside Casino offers blackjack, craps, and roulette overlooking the water.
Resort guests get complimentary access, while non-guests can purchase a day pass; most visitors spend 2 to 4 hours here relaxing in the sand, floating the lazy river, or catching a poolside show.
