Canal Walk Shopping Centre in Cape Town’s Century City is the largest mall in Cape Town and the third-largest in Africa, with more than 400 stores under one roof.
Built in 2000 in a style the developers call “Cape Venetian architecture,” the mall anchors a 250-hectare mixed-use development and includes a cinema, an arcade, a bowling alley, and more than 8,000 parking bays.
It’s open seven days a week from 9 AM to 9 PM, longer hours than most Cape Town malls, and its dozens of restaurants and coffee shops make it a reliable rainy-day or family outing.
