MGM Grand
MGM Grand is a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, opened in 1993 and, at the time, the largest hotel in the world. The resort is owned by Vici Properties and operated by MGM Resorts International. Its original Wizard of Oz theming was removed during a major renovation beginning in 1996, and a 2025 room renovation combined some smaller rooms into additional suites, bringing the property to 4,762 total rooms including 752 suites — still the largest single-building hotel in the United States.
The casino floor was the largest in the world when it opened, at more than 171,000 square feet with thousands of slot machines and table games. Beyond gaming, MGM Grand is known for its entertainment venues, restaurants, pool complex, and its distinctive lion-head branding along the Strip.
As a 24-hour resort, the casino floor, many restaurants, and guest services operate around the clock, though individual restaurants, shows, and attractions keep their own posted hours.
