The Dubai Fountain is a large choreographed fountain on Burj Khalifa Lake in Downtown Dubai, set directly outside The Dubai Mall and beside the Burj Khalifa tower. It performs synchronized water, light, and music shows and is considered one of the largest fountain systems of its kind, with jets spraying water in patterns that sync to a rotating selection of music.

Shows run daily in the evening every 30 minutes from 6 PM to 11 PM, with additional afternoon shows Saturday through Thursday at 1 PM and 1:30 PM, and Friday at 2 PM and 2:30 PM. Viewing is free from the Dubai Mall waterfront promenade, which offers a panoramic view of the fountain’s full 275-meter span with the Burj Khalifa towering behind it. For a closer look, the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk extends over the lake to within about 9 meters of the nearest jets, and a 30-minute abra boat ride puts visitors on the water itself during a show.

Most visitors watch one or two shows, spending 30 minutes to an hour at the fountain as part of a longer evening around Downtown Dubai and The Dubai Mall.
