Darling Harbour

Darling Harbour is Sydney’s waterfront entertainment precinct on Cockle Bay, a short walk from the CBD, packed with attractions, restaurants, and green space along the harbour.

Highlights include SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, and Madame Tussauds clustered together, the Australian National Maritime Museum with its historic tall ships, the tranquil Chinese Garden of Friendship, and Tumbalong Park’s regular festivals and light shows.

The outdoor precinct itself is open around the clock, though individual attractions and restaurants keep their own hours. Plan 2 to 3 hours for a relaxed walk and meal, or half a day if adding an aquarium or museum visit.
