Setas de Sevilla, officially Metropol Parasol, is the largest wooden structure in the world, rising above Plaza de la Encarnación in the heart of Seville. Designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer and completed in 2011, its wave-like canopy has become a defining piece of the city’s modern skyline.
Beneath the parasols sits the Antiquarium, an underground archaeological museum displaying Roman and Moorish ruins uncovered during construction, while the elevated Skywalk lets visitors wander a sloped walkway with sweeping views of Seville Cathedral and the Giralda.
Plan roughly 45 to 60 minutes for the rooftop walkway alone, with extra time if you want to explore the Antiquarium below or linger over the market and restaurants at street level.
