Oceanário de Lisboa is one of the largest aquariums in Europe, built around a massive central tank that anchors four themed habitats representing the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Antarctic oceans. It is home to more than 15,000 animals from over 450 species.

The two-floor layout lets visitors view surface-dwelling species from the upper level and deep-sea creatures from below, all circling the same central tank. Daily feeding sessions and a Tuesday afternoon penguin feeding are popular with families.

Most visitors spend two to three hours exploring the exhibits, cafe, and gift shop. Weekday mornings and late afternoons tend to be quieter than midday on weekends.
