Galeria Krakowska is a large shopping mall in Kraków, Poland, built beside the city’s main railway station as part of the “Nowe Miasto” urban renewal project that brought inner-city retail development to Kraków rather than building on greenfield land outside town. It opened in 2006 with roughly 55,000 square meters of retail space across three floors.
The mall houses more than 270 shops, cafes, and restaurants, anchored by international names like Zara, H&M, Media Markt, and Carrefour alongside Polish retail brands such as CCC, Reserved, and Smyk. Its glazed facade, designed to echo the surrounding 19th-century and interwar architecture of central Kraków, earned it a 2008 ICSC European Shopping Centre Award.
Galeria Krakowska is typically open daily from around 9 a.m. to 9 or 10 p.m., though individual store hours vary. Its location directly beside Kraków Główny station makes it a convenient stop for travelers passing through the city, with parking available for over 1,400 cars.
