Parque Lezama is a historic park in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, built on land once owned by Jose Gregorio de Lezama, whose 19th-century mansion still stands at its center. That mansion now houses the National Historical Museum (Museo Historico Nacional), which traces Argentina’s pre-Columbian era through the 1810 May Revolution and the independence campaigns of Jose de San Martin, with uniforms, portraits, and personal letters on display.
Beyond the museum, the park’s shaded walkways, statues, and open lawns make it a popular spot for a quiet stroll or picnic. Most visitors spend about an hour taking in the grounds and museum.
